In contrast to the explosive growth of auto exports, the capacity of ro-ro ships to carry cars has been in short supply. On Nov. 24, a container sea-rail transport train loaded with 93 new energy vehicles entered Ningbo Zhoushan Port railroad station. At this point, all 402 new energy vehicles of this brand arrived at the port and will be exported to Europe by container ship, thus opening a new channel for exporting new energy vehicles from Ningbo Zhoushan Port to land and sea.

It is understood that this new energy car sea-rail intermodal train departs from Jiangsu Province, and will be sent to Europe directly after boarding the ship at Ningbo Zhoushan Port, realizing seamless sea-rail intermodal transportation.

"In the past, new energy vehicles were mainly exported to overseas through ro-ro ships. In order to further expand overseas sales market and reduce the queuing time waiting for ro-ro capacity, we choose sea-rail intermodal transport out to ensure a stable supply chain in overseas markets."
