Yichang's foreign trade import and export value exceeded 40 billion yuan last year

  January 30, from Yichang Customs was informed that in 2022 Yichang City, Hubei Province, foreign trade import and export value of 41.47 billion yuan, the first time exceeded the 40 billion yuan mark. Among them, exports of 36.59 billion yuan, an increase of 19.2%; imports of 4.88 billion yuan, an increase of 55.8%.

   In 2022, Yichang City imported and exported 33.42 billion yuan in general trade, an increase of 17.8%, accounting for 80.6% of the city's total import and export value during the same period; 3.01 billion yuan in bonded logistics, an increase of 61.1%; 2.44 billion yuan in processing trade.

   Private enterprises are the main force of import and export, import and export 26.59 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9%, accounting for 64.1%; state-owned enterprises import and export 8.24 billion yuan, an increase of 30.4%; foreign-invested enterprises import and export 6.64 billion yuan, an increase of 33.8%.

   Yichang City to the top three trading partners ASEAN, India, the EU, respectively, import and export 7.02 billion yuan, 4.8 billion yuan, 4 billion yuan. Deepening economic and trade cooperation with emerging markets, import and export to Latin America and Africa grew by 71% and 103.4% respectively. Import and export to Brazil grew by 133.9%, import and export to countries along the "Belt and Road" grew by 33.5%, and import and export to RCEP member countries grew by 35.6%.

   Exports of basic organic chemicals 4.71 billion yuan, an increase of 62.8%, accounting for 12.9% of the city's total exports; exports of high-tech products 4.49 billion yuan, an increase of 21.8%. During the same period, exports of steel and Agricultural Products grew by 822.5% and 16.7% respectively. Imports of machinery and electronic products 1.46 billion yuan, accounting for 30% of the city's total import value; high-tech products 870 million yuan, an increase of 86.7%; imports of consumer goods grew 64.8%; agricultural products grew 77.7%.
