Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, has delivered a bright report card for its foreign trade import and export.

       According to the data, the total import and export volume of Xiangyang City in the first three quarters of this year was 30.92 billion yuan, up 44% year-on-year, with a growth rate 21.9 percentage points higher than the average level in Hubei Province. Among them, exports were 28.89 billion yuan, up 50.5%, ranking second in the province.

　　The  machine made auto industry is a pillar industry in Xiangyang, with exports of automobiles and parts increasing from $65.68 million in 2012 to $255 million in 2021, a 2.88-fold rise in exports in nine years.

　   For example, in recent years, Dongfeng Motor continues to deepen its overseas market, in late December 2021 for the first time to achieve the export of new energy commercial vehicles to high-end foreign markets, this year for the first time to achieve the export of light buses to the Central American market, the enterprise overseas market exports continue to strengthen. From January to September this year, Dongfeng Motor achieved a 59% year-on-year increase in cumulative export sales, exceeding the whole of last year.

　   In the first three quarters of this year, the foreign trade export volume exceeded 450 million yuan, an increase of 30% year-on-year, ranking fourth in the export ranking of enterprises in Xiangyang City.

　　In the first two years, affected by the general environment at home and abroad, Hubei New Torch's export orders were once sharply reduced. In response, Hubei New Torch quickly adjusted the strategic layout of high-end foreign trade products, while the Xiangyang Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology introduced an industrial multiplier program with a 10% subsidy on equipment investment, allowing enterprises to upgrade and develop with more confidence. Recently, Hubei New Torch developed the third generation of z-series automotive wheel bearings for the U.S. Ford Raptor, which were successfully exported across the ocean.
